This is a picture of my best friend and I from home. We love going to the beach and being by the water because it is where we have the most fun and best memories. So I made us appear to look like we're sitting on a dock on the water. I added a dolphin in the water to make it more peaceful and relaxing. I also added a sunset and a orange/yellow sun. I also added a plane to just fill some emptiness in the sky.

I chose a color blue for the helment of the dog to try and match the eye color of the dog since we don't see it anymore. Then for my tag brush I did it in the contrasting color of orange. I wanted the chin strap to match the helmet but not be the same color so I did teal. For the climbing gear I did hot pink just to add a pop of color.

the art of design

I chose this picture of Adel from the documentary. They talked about how the photographer really focuses on the eyes of people. They mentioned how the eyes often give the message of the photo and I really like that. He tries to connect the eyes in the photo to the people looking at the photos. Eyes can say a lot about the photo even when there is no words.  Eyes can also bring the image to life. The eyes can capture emotions, and give the image more of a background story to the person looking at the photo. The eyes is where the truth appears first. You can tell if the person is happy, sad, scared, etc, through the eyes of the person of the photo.  In the photo I chose it shows me connecting to another human being. But I also chose this photo because I think our eyes can tell other people looking at the photo how happy we are. We are happy connecting to the world. Being around other human beings allow us to connect on a deeper level to everything around us. Seeing our eyes so h...

BW to color

Image
I chose to try and stick to colors that worked well together. Then I tried to match my outfit together keeping my skin color more muted, as well as my hair. I used a compound color combination, complementary, and square.

photoshop brush

On photoshop I used the masking tool around my logo. then I exported a splatter effect to mask it with my logo. Then, I used a scratch layer to mask it with my logo as well. Last, I exported the smudge and masked it to the logo as well. I then created a brush on photoshop of my logo. Below is a picture of my brush in different colors and sizes.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aLiK4DDY_2M   The Move Tool and Crop Tool are usually the easiest because they are straightforward and give immediate visual results. The Brush Tool is also beginner-friendly since it works similarly to drawing in real life. The Text Tool is fairly simple but can become slightly harder when adjusting fonts and spacing. The Layer Panel can feel confusing at first because understanding how layers stack takes practice. The Layer Masks shown in the video are typically one of the harder concepts because they require understanding non-destructive editing. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xTzvQkOll2U   The Marquee Tool is one of the easiest tools shown since it just creates basic square or circular selections. The Quick Selection Tool is also fairly easy because it automatically detects edges. The Lasso Tool can be a little harder since it requires steady hand control. The Refine Edge/Select and Mask feature is more advanced and may be challengin...

Matteo poster

Image
I chose to keep the background of this poster neutral colors, black and grey. I chose these colors because I wanted the words "Eliminate the mark" stand out. By putting the words in black against a dull background, the person really stands out rather than the mark and the words which is what I wanted. The word eliminate means to get rid of the mark and just be yourself rather than being represented by a symbol. This really represents the person, and not the words or the mark itself, all while standing out in their own way.
