business cards

Image
I wanted to keep the first two business cards more muted so my logo was the thing to pop. Then for my third one I did a blue background with a black and white logo to make that pop, with the same idea as the first two.

animation

I decided to animate a "dancing dolphin" jumping in and out of the water playing with the sun like a ball. I had the dolphin go from left to right chasing the sun from both sides, hitting the sun with its nose back to the other side. I also added a sailboat sailing through when the dolphin isn't hitting the sun. I also added a moon/night time scene showing that the dolphin plays with the sun every day. Below is my story board, pictures I used to create the animation, and my final animated GIF.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rc2j1DCm4UQ   This video shows that the Selection Tool and Type Tool are the easiest to learn because they are used constantly and behave similarly to tools in other programs. Placing images into frames is also pretty simple and becomes intuitive quickly. The video makes basic layout tasks like moving and resizing objects feel very beginner-friendly. However, tools like master pages start to get confusing because they affect multiple pages at once. The hardest parts introduced are paragraph styles and layout consistency tools, since they require more planning and understanding.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XTTl2nD1IiI This video focuses on design, so tools like shapes, color swatches, and alignment tools are very easy to pick up because they are visual. Adjusting fonts, sizes, and spacing with the text panel is also beginner-friendly. The alignment and spacing tools make layouts look clean without much effort. More difficult tools inc...

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IO1yDUJl8qw  - The move tool is easy to use. All you do is click and drag on the item you select. The crop tool would also be easy to use since it only resizes the image. The brush tool because you control what it does and paint what you want. Along with the eraser tool being easy because you just erase a part of the image you do not want. the pen tool is fairly difficult just because you have to learn what anchors you can and can not move. the clone stamp sounds tricky to match the textures and colors.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ObKru84L5SQ - the shape tool is easy because you click on the shape you want and click and drag for how big or small you want it to be. the magic wand tool seems easy to select similar colors in one click. the lasso tool seems a little hard because you have to draw in clean sections. adjustment layers I also think are confusing because one wrong click can mess up or alter the entire image.  https://www.youtub...

This is a picture of my best friend and I from home. We love going to the beach and being by the water because it is where we have the most fun and best memories. So I made us appear to look like we're sitting on a dock on the water. I added a dolphin in the water to make it more peaceful and relaxing. I also added a sunset and a orange/yellow sun. I also added a plane to just fill some emptiness in the sky.

I chose a color blue for the helment of the dog to try and match the eye color of the dog since we don't see it anymore. Then for my tag brush I did it in the contrasting color of orange. I wanted the chin strap to match the helmet but not be the same color so I did teal. For the climbing gear I did hot pink just to add a pop of color.

the art of design

I chose this picture of Adel from the documentary. They talked about how the photographer really focuses on the eyes of people. They mentioned how the eyes often give the message of the photo and I really like that. He tries to connect the eyes in the photo to the people looking at the photos. Eyes can say a lot about the photo even when there is no words.  Eyes can also bring the image to life. The eyes can capture emotions, and give the image more of a background story to the person looking at the photo. The eyes is where the truth appears first. You can tell if the person is happy, sad, scared, etc, through the eyes of the person of the photo.  In the photo I chose it shows me connecting to another human being. But I also chose this photo because I think our eyes can tell other people looking at the photo how happy we are. We are happy connecting to the world. Being around other human beings allow us to connect on a deeper level to everything around us. Seeing our eyes so h...
